Gravity and the Community

At Gravity we are proud of our roots and like to be involved in the community in which we work.

Stan Abbott is a Director of the European Commercial Office (formerly the French Business Council). Based in Newcastle , this organisation was originally established to promote trade and other links with the French-speaking world. It now enjoys a broader European remit, with particular emphasis on Germany .

He is a Trustee of Théâtre Sans Frontières, an Arts Council supported theatre company, based at Hexham, in Northumberland, from where it tours original productions in foreign languages, mostly French and Spanish.

Stan is also a regional committee member for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, and sits on the Advisory Panel for the Public Relations degree course at Teesside University 's Business School , where Gravity awards a prize for the most improved PR student each year.

Gravity is a consistent supporter of the arts and as part of our belief in the importance or international communication skills and understanding we sponsor and annual season of foreign language film at the Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle . To date these have included a German season, Kinofest, and an Italian season, Cinefesta.
